Applications of Molybdenum Bar

Molybdenum bar has high melting point, good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion properties. At high temperature, the oxidation resistance of molybdenum bar is high. Bango molybdenum rod can be used to make vacuum devices and electric light source parts, also can be used as high temperature heating and structure parts, electrodes, etc.

Classification

Classification by material

Pure molybdenum bar: Over 99.95% molybdenum content.

High-temperature molybdenum bar (molybdenum lanthanide alloy bar) : Containing 0.4%~1.2% of lanthanide.

TZM molybdenum bar: 0.4-0.6Ti, 0.07-0.12Zr, 0.01-0.05C.

Classification by surface state

Sintered molybdenum bar: The surface is silver gray metallic luster.

Forging molybdenum bar : There is a layer of oxide on the forging molybdenum bar surface, and the surface is black.

Rolling molybdenum bar: the surface is metallic and rough.

Polished molybdenum bar: Silver gray metallic luster, smooth surface, small size error.

Surface oxide removal method

Molybdenum products have the characteristics of easy oxidation. When it is necessary to remove heavy oxides, it can be treated with strong acids (fluoric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid). Please pay attention to the operation.

When the molybdenum product needs to be slightly oxidized, it can be cleaned with abrasive cleaner, wiped with soft cloth or sponge, and then washed with warm water.The cleaned molybdenum products will lose their luster.

Packing of Molybdenum Bar

The molybdenum rod shall be packed separately with PE padded cotton and packed in appropriate wooden cases, and shall be filled with extra space to prevent vibration and damage to the product during transportation.
